GoogleDocs

I am glad to become more familiar with GoogleDocs as it is something that my daughter has been encouraged to use for sharing homework tasks with class teachers. I look forward to finding useful applications of my own.

Bookmarks

Bookmarks on my mini laptop - Asus EePC - at home are very convenient for updating my Lovefilm DVD rental requests and checking out other people's blog entries amongst other things while I am watching the TV!

RSS Feeds

Good stuff!

I have found RSS feeds great in that the world is your oyster...almost - except some are less efficient than others in keeping you up to date.

I already use newsreaders in particular and I am mostly happy to use Google's which presents the most read items of news under various categories.

I have found some new possibilities whilst investigating the NHS Athens My Library which could be useful as a health data collection point.

As far as referencing these feeds on a daily/weekly basis is concerned, I am not sure as yet in what ways I could better utilise them.

Food for thought!

Here are some of my RSS feeds but apparently it does not have anything to do with culinary appetizers. Cocktails - yes. That is if you're thirsty for knowledge...............

Blog tracking

Having started a rookie blog perhaps it's time to follow a true expert:

I have just finished reading Malcolm Gladwell's book: The Tipping Point - it examines how some social trends take root!

Playing catch.............up!

Monday, 17th. May 2010

I have set up my first ever blog to record my thoughts on the 'How 2' of 'Web 2:0'. Although not an entirely randomly generated number, the '23 Things' is sure to be a journey of consolidation and discovery in the world of technological wizardry. I'm game!!

I am hoping to develop a greater familiarity with this web world and add some of the '23 things' to my current computercentric routine: this currently stands at extensive googling from my own iGoogle page. Who knows? I might actually find out that I know more than I thought I did!
